Amidst the current uncertainty surrounding the reported Ebola cases linked to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Uganda remains open, safe, and welcoming for tourism, business, and investment.

The Ugandan authorities, together with regional and international health bodies, continue to closely monitor the situation and have precautionary health screening and response measures in place. At present, there are no restrictions on travel within Uganda, and tourism activities continue to operate as normal.

All citizens and visitors are, however, encouraged to continue observing standard hygiene and health practices, including regular handwashing, use of sanitizers where appropriate, and general awareness of personal wellbeing while travelling.
