2024 has been a remarkable year for gorilla conservation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with the rainforest welcoming four new infants to the following regions:
Rushaga
- The Nshongi group has grown to 14 individuals after Munini gave birth.
- Migogo of the Mucunguzi group gave birth bringing the total group size up to 15 individuals.
- The birth of Mececuru’s infant has raised the Bikingi group’s count to 9.
- The Tindatine group has grown to 8 individuals after Bashekura gave birth.
Buhoma
- Kibande of the Rushegura group welcomed her baby, bringing the total group size up to 17 individuals.
